Precision and Protection in Every Detail
NOTE UK is one of the UK’s leading contract electronics manufacturers for the defence and security sector, operating through STI NOTE, and Kasdon, a NOTE company in Wolverhampton – more than 350 defence electronics specialists across three UK sites, covering the air, land, cyber and marine domains. AS9100, IPC Class 3, ISO 27001 and List X certified.

The UK’s leading defence electronics capability
NOTE’s acquisition of STI has created one of the most significant defence electronics manufacturing operations in the UK. STI NOTE, a NOTE Defence company, brings approximately 300 staff and c.£60 million in revenue across two dedicated defence sites at Hook and Poynton – specialist electronics manufacturing for prime contractors and the MOD, with a programme history spanning decades. Combined with Kasdon, a NOTE company in Wolverhampton, where approximately 50% of production serves defence customers, NOTE UK operates across three sites with genuine depth across the air, land, cyber and marine domains.
This is not an adjacent capability. It is a dedicated, accredited, security-cleared defence electronics business – now part of a wider UK contract electronics group with the scale, breadth and shared infrastructure to serve defence customers from prototype through to long-lifecycle programme support and after-sales.
Four Domains. One Integrated Partner.
Mission-critical defence systems require uncompromising quality. NOTE UK delivers electronics manufacturing certified to ISO 9001, IPC Class 3, ISO 27001, and AS9100 for aerospace and defence standards. These accreditations ensure reliability, compliance, and performance for secure, high-stakes applications in defence and security sectors.
Air
Advanced PCBA and box build for avionics, airborne systems and UAV electronics – manufactured to the exacting standards of weight tolerance, vibration resistance and thermal cycling that airborne defence applications demand. IPC Class 3 workmanship and AS9100-certified processes throughout.
Land
Vehicle electronics, soldier systems and ground-based platform hardware for the UK land domain – ruggedly constructed, EMI-compliant and designed for field maintainability. NOTE UK’s manufacturing processes are built to the long-lifecycle requirements of land programme support.
Cyber
Secure communications hardware, encrypted systems and network security electronics – where physical build quality, traceability, tamper-evident construction and access control are as critical as electrical performance. Manufactured in security-cleared facilities with ISO 27001-certified information security management.
Marine
Naval and maritime electronics built to withstand salt, humidity, pressure and the demanding duty cycles of seaborne operation. NOTE UK’s marine capability covers PCBA and box build for platforms where reliability in service is non-negotiable.
