Speedboard is moving forward with its integration into the NOTE Group. The latest milestone? Our brand-new hybrid company van arrived! This design combines petrol efficiency with battery power in the vehicle. It will manage daily collections and deliveries. It also reduces tailpipe emissions by about 40% compared to the diesel model it replaces.
Our Facilities team has set up a dedicated electric charging point on-site. This helps us gain the full environmental benefit. Colleagues with an electric or plug-in hybrid car can charge them after work hours. This makes corporate investment a real benefit for staff. It also encourages low-carbon travel for everyone.
The van and charger form part of a broader sustainability roadmap we call “Mission to be Greener.” In the last 18 months, we have made some big changes. We switched the factory to 100% renewable electricity. We also set up central waste-segregation stations, which doubled our recycling rate. Plus, we replaced fluorescent lights with high-efficiency LEDs. These initiatives stop several tonnes of CO₂ from entering the atmosphere each year. Experts expect the hybrid van to cut an extra 3 tonnes each year.
The launch of the van and charger also represents our upcoming rebrand to NOTE Windsor. When it gets its new livery later this year, the vehicle will be a moving ambassador. It will present the NOTE name and highlight key values: innovation, reliability, and environmental care. The green-and-white design on local roads will remind everyone of our commitment to quality and the planet.
