NOTE Windsor maintains ISO 14001:2015 certification after a successful Lloyd’s Register audit.
Lloyd’s Register recently completed a thorough audit at the end of July. This confirmed NOTE Windsor’s ISO 14001:2015 accreditation. It shows the site’s strong commitment to good environmental management. This also boosts its green credentials.
The LR auditor spent two days reviewing policies, procedures, and records at the site. They walked the production lines and warehouse. They also interviewed staff, from machine operators to senior managers. The report praised the factory’s Environmental Management System (EMS). It called it “well-defined.” It also noted that it “shows NOTE Windsor’s commitment to the environment and its duty to employees, customers, and others.”
Key strengths highlighted in the findings include:
-
Strong leadership
-
Energy-saving initiatives that cut electricity usage each year.
-
A waste segregation rate is approaching 100%.
-
Environmental criteria in supplier selection
-
High employee engagement from regular ‘green’ training and a suggestion scheme.
ISO 14001:2015 is a global standard. It helps organisations reduce their environmental impact. It also ensures compliance with changing laws. Plus, it promotes ongoing improvement. The new certificate proves that NOTE Windsor produces electronics in a responsible and sustainable manner for its customers and partners.
The auditor found no non conformities. They identified two areas for improvement. First, they plan to expand the rooftop solar array. This will boost renewable electricity. Second, they are integrating broader life-cycle thinking in product design. Feasibility work and guideline drafting are underway. We will report progress in NOTE’s 2025 Sustainability Report.
Managing Director, Karen Heath, thanked everyone. She recognised the Environmental, the Facilities & HSE teams. “Great feedback on the surveillance audit shows everyone’s hard work and care,” she said. “We’re making NOTE Windsor cleaner, safer, and a better partner for sustainable manufacturing.”
