In these challenging times, as the world continues to face the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, many individuals and families are struggling to afford basic necessities. Food banks, which are grassroots, community-based organizations, have become an essential support system for those unable to secure life’s essentials. Their mission is to help vulnerable members of the community by providing access to food and other necessities during difficult times.
NOTE Windsor has a longstanding commitment to supporting charitable causes and has previously collaborated with the Trussell Trust. Established in 1997, the Trussell Trust was founded with the goal of uniting communities across the UK, regardless of faith or background, to combat hunger and poverty. It has since grown to become one of the country’s leading organizations in the fight to end food insecurity.
Once again, NOTE Windsor employees have demonstrated their generosity by making substantial donations in a Covid-secure manner. Their contributions have filled the boot of Brendon Jones’ car, NOTE Windsor’s Logistics Manager, with an array of essential items, including tinned food, cereals, pasta, and more.
These donations were warmly received by volunteers Ana (left in the photo) and Penny (center) when Brendon (right) delivered them to the Kerith Community Church Food Bank in Bracknell on Friday, 5th March 2021. The Kerith Community Church Food Bank, which is affiliated with the Trussell Trust, plays a vital role in distributing these donations to individuals and families in need. The efforts of both NOTE Windsor staff and the volunteers at the food bank reflect a strong sense of community spirit and solidarity during these unprecedented times.
