What we build

Electronics for
green technology

NOTE in the UK manufactures electronics for the green technology sector - energy storage systems, EV charging infrastructure, smart power and control systems, energy-efficient lighting and climate control electronics. As a contract electronics manufacturer with ISO 9001 at all six UK sites and ISO 14001 at Windsor, Haddenham, Hook (STI) and Poynton (STI), and manufacturing to RoHS and REACH requirements as standard, we bring rigorous quality management and environmental responsibility to every GreenTech programme. High-power electronics demand particular process discipline: thermal management review at DfM, component derating, high-voltage assembly and robust functional test, including hi-pot and insulation resistance verification. Our engineering team provides DFM and DFT support from the earliest prototype stage, and our six UK sites in Windsor, Haddenham, Basildon, Wolverhampton, Hook and Poynton, and the NOTE Group international network support programmes from NPI through to volume production for global markets.

Built for long
field life

Energy storage, EV charging and smart power products stay in the field for many years. We manage obsolescence and engineering change throughout.

03

Compliance
built in

RoHS and REACH as standard, with compliance designed in at DFM rather than retrofitted at certification.

04

Made
responsibly

ISO 14001 at four UK sites, with supply chain environmental reporting, energy reduction targets and waste minimisation.

How we manufacture

How NOTE builds
GreenTech electronics

ISO 9001 at all six UK sites, ISO 14001 at Windsor, Haddenham, Hook (STI) and Poynton (STI), RoHS and REACH as standard, and IPC-A-610 across all PCBA programmes.

01

High-power
assembly

Thermal management review, component derating and high-voltage assembly procedures, applied as standard.

02

Hi-pot and
functional test

Test engineers experienced in hi-pot and insulation resistance testing. You supply the test equipment and specification; we provide the process and records.

03

DFM and
DFT review

Our engineers review every design from the earliest prototype, so products are ready for cost-effective manufacture at scale.

04

Long-term
programme support

Obsolescence management, validated engineering change control and sustained supply continuity across the full product lifecycle.

Frequently asked questions
GreenTech manufacturing

A: NOTE in the UK manufactures electronics for energy storage and battery management systems, EV charging stations, smart power control and distribution systems, energy-efficient LED lighting controls, climate and heating management systems, and renewable energy monitoring and control electronics. We support programmes across the full volume range, from engineering prototypes to high-volume serial production.

A: Windsor, Haddenham, Hook (STI) and Poynton (STI) are certified to ISO 14001 for environmental management, and all six UK sites hold ISO 9001. We manufacture to RoHS and REACH compliance as standard, eliminating hazardous substances from our processes and products. Our sustainability programme includes supply chain environmental reporting, energy reduction targets and waste minimisation across all UK sites.

A: Yes. High-power electronics need specific process disciplines that NOTE in the UK applies as standard: thermal management review during DFM, component derating analysis, high-voltage assembly procedures, and functional test including hi-pot and insulation resistance verification. Our test engineers have hi-pot and high-voltage test experience; customers supply the test equipment and specifications, and NOTE provides the process, documentation and test records to support your product certification. Confirm specific test requirements at the quotation stage.

A: Yes. Box build and system integration are led from our Haddenham site, with support from the wider UK network. We take on sub-assembly, cable and wiring installation, enclosure assembly, final functional test, labelling and packing to your specification, so you receive a finished unit ready to ship.

A: Energy storage, EV charging and smart power products often stay in the field for many years. We monitor component obsolescence, plan last-time buys with you, source and qualify approved alternatives and manage engineering change, alongside repair and after-sales support for products already installed.
