Recycled Resources Generate Valuable Resources.

Today is Global Recycling Day, a day for the world to come together and put the planet first. Recycled products generate invaluable resources. Thus it’s important to think about what we throw away – seeing opportunity, not waste.

We usually think of five of the earth’s natural resources as the most important – water, oil, natural gas, coal and minerals.  Humanity can’t survive without them, but these resources are rapidly running out.  We are carelessly using the earth’s natural resources without thinking about what will replace them. This while billions of tons of waste pour into landfill sites every year!

The simple solution to this is recycling, ‘The Seventh Resource”, which can be used again and again.

One of the goals of Global Recycling Day, held annually on 18 March, is to help the world understand that recycled resources generate valuable resources. It also aims to promote the vitality of recycling across the globe.
