World Day for Safety and Health at Work 2021

World Day for Safety and Health at Work is an international campaign. It takes place every year on April 28. The goal is to promote safe, healthy, and decent work. The focus for 2021 is to anticipate, prepare, and respond to crises.

At NOTE Windsor, creating a safe workplace for our employees is our top priority. The COVID-19 pandemic has brought unique challenges. It has affected the workplace and changed business in many ways.

We followed the rules and restrictions. We’re happy to say there hasn’t been a single COVID case in or from the factory.  We thank our teams for their patience, support, and hard work, which have led to this excellent result. We are now on V11 of our COVID rules. This shows how we adapt to the latest government advice.

Some examples of things we have undertaken to keep our employees safe:

  • Communicate risk assessments and rules in a straightforward manner.

  • New facial recognition door entry and clocking systems

  • Track-and-trace booking system at the reception.

  • One-way systems limit walkway traffic.

  • We modified the production layout.

  • We installed Perspex screens.

  • We also widened the lines.

  • Extra office space to ensure safe distancing for all.

  • Refurbished offices and a canteen have limited capacity. This helps ensure social distancing.

  • Staggered start and finish times.

  • Signage is in place to keep us aware, supported by regular updates to all employees.

We learned many lessons this past year. These lessons have made us stronger. Now, we can handle crises better, both now and in the future.
