Spring 2021 Newsletter

In this Spring 2021 newsletter, we look at the material crisis affecting the electronics industry. The sector faces big challenges. Global supply chains are disrupted. Demand for key components is much higher than the supply. This shortage has impacted the whole industry; it has changed production schedules and made lead times longer. We are working closely with our suppliers to help keep operations smooth and deliver for our customers.

Continuous improvement is at the heart of everything we do. We are dedicated to investing in new machines and technology. This will boost our skills and efficiency. Recently, we have taken delivery of several state-of-the-art machines, including a new SMD line. This addition helps us provide quality service on time. It also strengthens our role as a dependable and flexible partner in a rapidly changing market. These investments reflect not only our dedication to meeting current demand but also our determination to prepare for the future.

This issue also includes a heartfelt tribute to HRH Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, who sadly passed away in April. We were honoured to welcome him to our factory in 2013, when he joined us in celebrating 30 years of manufacturing. His visit was a proud moment for our team, underlining the importance of UK manufacturing and recognising the contribution businesses like ours make to innovation and the wider economy.

As always, we extend our thanks to our customers, suppliers, and team members for their ongoing support and commitment. Despite the challenges of the past year, we remain optimistic, focused on excellence, and ready to adapt to the evolving demands of our industry.
