60 seconds with Paul Barlow, Production Manager

We are pleased to announce that we have appointed Paul Barlow to the new role of Production Manager.

Paul worked at a paintball centre before he graduated with a degree in Electronics. He joined Speedboard (now NOTE Windsor) in 2011. He became test supervisor in 2014 and is now the production manager.

Paul earned this promotion through hard work and commitment. It’s a true success story for him and for NOTE Windsor.

We caught up with Paul this week to find out a bit more about his interests and what motivates him to succeed.

60 SECONDS WITH PAUL BARLOW

What do you foresee as the biggest challenge in your job?

As a manager, you can’t please everyone. You must make tough choices, and it’s frustrating when your decision upsets someone.

What three words best describe you?

Dedicated, loyal, and logical.

Where would you be and what activities would you usually engage in on a Tuesday morning?

Meeting with the production supervisor team to go over plans for the week and the month.

What interests do you have outside of work?

I follow many sports and have a passion for most, but my biggest is Formula 1. I also have three dogs, and we love going on holiday to explore the UK.

If you weren’t working in the electronics industry, what would your ideal job be?

Back to running a paintball site.

What’s the best advice someone has given you?

Don’t try to do it all yourself; let others help you.

What are your three top tips for success in life?

  • Embrace change.

  • Learn from your mistakes.

  • Enjoy what you do (at work and outside of work).
